Aquatic Weeds

Aquatic weeds are a threat to the native auqatic plants and animals of New Zealand. They often have a detrimental effect on recreational activities such as angling, boating and swimming. Weeds modify the aquatic environment, disrupt hydro-electric dams, restrict irrigation, block drainage and reduce habitats for native flora and fauna.
